Havana is new and old, cutting an edge of inner freedom and outer complex interplay between the polarities of our times.
An extraordinary invitation for a dance that deepens us as it broadens our perspective.
Working with the CopperBridge Foundation we’ll stay in lovely older homes
with the grand sense of past times, and modern flair
as we meet with people who are liaisons of interplay between artists and cultures.
As the window to engage with the Cuban people narrows it is a privilege to experience
their welcome; bring your open heart and feel them expand to new levels.
We’ll meet each day for deep dance, contemporary ritual, significant encounters and be nourished through heart and spirit as well as body.
5 days beginning Monday evening then 6 hrs each day + meals and personal exploration…

Your visa and Cuban travel license are included in the price of the workshop,
as well as dbl accommodation and most meals. Private room add $300

I had an extrordinary time in Nepal, and one of my favorite humans was with us and asked if I'd consider doing a retreat in Cuba. LaurieAnn Schag has spent years of her life in Cuba, mostly working with film and cultural exchange.
With her support we are embarking on this journey: This will be based in Havana*, it's multilayered: personal exploration, support for the Cuban people and a cultural exchange. We will be dancing in a gorgeous space with some local people, bringing our dance to them and receiving some of theirs. We'll be fed by and housed by affiliates of our sponsored organization, with some meals out and many cooked just for us. We'll have some local excursions, and free time to do your own explorations as well. The dance time is learning and playing time, where we'll experience different maps of kindness and how we are able to live within the expanding heart.
The weather will be lovely, the location has been a focus for many for years, and whether you have dreamed of this, or already been, or are simply curious we're setting up something that is very worth your time.
Deeper workshops are humanitarian by nature; as we transform personally the ripples influence and affect all around us.
Come, meet the places of inner polarity, and move with them and as them, finding loving experiences of release and self worth in every day. We are not going to change people or be benefactors, this is a fair exchange of awareness, inspiration and humanity.
