Start close in,
don’t take the second step
or the third,
start with the first
thing
close in,
the step you don’t want to take.
Start with
the ground
you know,
the pale ground
beneath your feet,
your own
way of starting
the conversation.
Start with your own
question,
give up on other
people’s questions,
don’t let them
smother something
simple.
To find
another’s voice
follow
your own voice,
wait until
that voice
becomes a
private ear
listening
to another.
Start right now
take a small step
you can call your own
don’t follow
someone else’s
heroics, be humble
and focused,
start close in,
don’t mistake
that other
for your own.
Start close in,
don’t take the second step
or the third,
start with the first
thing
close in,
the step you don’t want to take.

A place to meet ourselves; tender and outrageous,
the tiny enormous feelings and expand our capacity to relate.
Open Floor is a mindful movement practice engaging our embodied awareness and curiosity while cultivagting surrender into the meditation of now.
This can be contained or messy, vital and spontaneous or restrained and considered...each week is a chance to change the channel.
Ease into the stuck places from a toe or a tendril...
Tracking our sensations, witnessing ourselves and each other with objectivity, and exploring life through our physicality from a variety of polarities, we welcome observation, reflection and different points of view.
We may remain in our own space throughout the session, or engage with other participants, we may use writing or verbal expression or play with images, and color. Opening the lens of our perception we develop resources that support a greater thriving in life. Yes everything is stored in our bodies, and whatever arises is met in an integrative way, we can explore places that may have always inhibited or felt limiting to our full presence.
The simplest perspectives when offered through consciousness can transform what may have been life long issues.
