some of the music is from our history:
michael had motown, r&b, soul in his house and childhood and jo had a lot of 60's rock and folk, 'classical' was on the home radio growing up to the original longhairs.  

we both fell in love with world music and many of the new amalgamations of music.  

we see a lot of movies, and buy a lot of soundtracks; a great sampling of new and old.
